76ers new potential starting lineup ranked 3rd best in the NBA by Bleacher Report

I know it’s still July, but 76ers fans deserve a little excitement after NBA free agency. The Bleacher Report put together a full list of potential starting lineups for all 30 NBA teams, and the Philadelphia 76ers were very high on the list, checking in at number three across the entire league.

Harden’s nonexistent defense presents challenges for any player grouping, but the Philadelphia 76ers will get back far more than they give up with this retooled lineup.
The thought of defending a Harden-Embiid pick-and-roll with Maxey blowing past closeouts on the weak side while Harris and Tucker space out the three-point line should give opposing coaches indigestion. And the added stretch provided by Tucker’s renowned gunning from the short corners will keep help from crashing down on Embiid when he rumbles to the cup.

The 76ers main focus this offseason was adding some depth to their roster and they went out and acquired DeAnthony Melton during the NBA Draft, followed by the free agent signings of PJ Tucker, Danuel House Jr., and reigning G League MVP Trevelin Queen.
The Bleacher Report has PJ Tucker in the starting lineup, joining James Harden, Tyrese Maxey, Tobias Harris and Joel Embiid. On paper, that lineup is looking very strong, and the depth is certainly a major boost from last year’s bench with Melton and House both considered to be the first two options for Doc Rivers rotation.
