Jalen Hurts Slander: “Inside the Birds” NFL Insider goes on DC sports radio to simp for Carson Wentz

Hello Philadelphia Eagles fans. If you were already sick of the Jalen Hurts, Carson Wentz comparisons, you’re likely in for a long season because it’s not even August yet and it has already begun.
On 106.7 FM The Fan in Washington DC, “The Sports Junkies” called on supposed “NFL Insider” Adam Caplan to throw shade at Jalen Hurts and prop up Carson Wentz.
For those unfamiliar, Adam Caplan is a Philadelphia native. He writes and does a podcast (radio show?) called Inside The Birds. He’s been covering the NFL for nearly 20 years and obviously has quite the resume. What I didn’t expect, was that Caplan is apparently just another one of those traitorous doofuses that continues to be under the spell of Carson Wentz.
Adam Caplan: “Eagles did not want to get rid of [Carson] Wentz.”
On “The Sports Junkies”, Caplan trotted out the tired old line about the Eagles not wanting to trade Carson Wentz in the first place.
“A couple things here. The Eagles did not want to get rid of Wentz,” he said. “Wentz wanted out and it was gonna be a problem if he wasn’t traded. He had a major falling out with Doug Pederson and some people with the Eagles and it had to happen. And then with the Colts, well the Colts wanted to get rid of Wentz. It wasn’t the other way around. That’s a fact.”
Although that might be true, that barely tells the story of Carson Wentz, his time in Philadelphia, and how it came to an abrupt ending. Wentz turned into a major distraction both on and off the field for the Eagles and honestly, a complete pain in the ass. He expected the Eagles to worship the ground he walked on.
Here’s a quick rundown of Carson Wentz time in Philadelphia:
Carson Wentz lost the respect of his teammates and nearly got beat up by Darren Sproles during the 2017 Super Bowl season. He then spent the next two seasons pouting because Nick Foles won a Super Bowl in his absence.
He routinely gave away the football and played like a drunken Brett Favre clone. He was made one of the highest paid quarterbacks in the league but lost his confidence when the team drafted Jalen Hurts. He admitted to quitting on the team the second he was benched during a down year, and began looking for a way out.
Then he went to Indianapolis and proceeded to miss the playoffs in the most humiliating fashion possible, losing to the lowly Jaguars in the last game of the season.
Caplan continued to drool over Carson Wentz and compared him to Jalen Hurts in the same exact way that Eagles fans have already heard ad nauseum for the past two years.
Regarding overall skill: “It’s not even close. Wentz is so much more talented than Hurts,” Caplan claimed in spite of the fact that Wentz has been unable to win a playoff game in his entire career and somehow alienates every teammate he’s ever had while also completely disregarding Jalen Hurts ability to break a defenses back with his ability to run.
Carson Wentz had a passer rating of 94.6 with 3,563 yards, 27 touchdowns and 7 interceptions in 17 games in 2021. Carson Wentz had 215 rushing yards, one rushing touchdown in 2021 (8 Fumbles)
Jalen Hurts had a passer rating of 87.2 with 3,144 yards, 16 touchdowns and 9 interceptions in 15 games in 2021. Jalen Hurts had 784 rushing yards and 10 rushing touchdowns in 2021.
Stat nerds rejoice. Carson Wentz threw better than Jalen Hurts last year. You win. For those who just like looking at stats like Adam Caplan, sure, Wentz was better through the air last year but we all know what Jalen Hurts needs to focus on this season. That’s old news and I’m not going to elaborate on it any further.
“I mean, the guy can play. The thing you’re gonna see, folks, that Commanders fans are gonna see this season, there are gonna be some games where you’re gonna go, ‘Why did Philly trade him?’”
For any Commanders fan hate-reading this blog, I’d tell you why The Eagles traded him, but that would spoil the fun of you finding out for yourself.
Carson Wentz is not a winner. No matter what traitor Adam Caplan says. Hey Adam, if you love Carson Wentz so much, why don’t you do us all a favor and go move to Washington to cover him exclusively. We’ll be busy watching Jalen Hurts win football games here in Philly.

Not an Eagle or Commanders fan but, the whole country is tired of the Eagles character assassination of this player. Everybody I know is pulling for him to beat the Eagles. Hate their behavior. Jim Irsay is crazy he doesn’t have much credibility and even he brought into the Eagles slander. Its been years and the Philly media is still bashing Carson Wentz. I’m hoping he destroys the Eagles for they way they’ve willfully sought to destroy his reputation for no reason at all. The same lying narrative year after year. The Eagles are a disgraceful organization surrounded by a corrupt sports media followed by a rotten fan base. The Commanders are a disaster but, I’ll root for them to destroy the Eagles. I will also enjoy seeing Dallas Cowboys & NYG slapping the Eagles around. I can’t support such an organization. Hopefully, the Eagles will be stuck with Jalen Hurts for at least ten years. The Eagles can take their place at the back of the NFC East division.
