Preview: Aaron Nola vs. Jacob deGrom takes the Saturday night stage at 7:10

The Philadelphia Phillies look to secure a series win tonight vs. the New York Mets after a heroic 2-1 victory on Tuesday night.
Aaron Nola (8-8, 3.17 ERA) takes the hill for the Fightins, as Jacob deGrom (1-0, 2.53 ERA) gets the ball for the Mets.
Last night’s win was the best win of the season. The Phillies got on the board early, thanks to an RBI single from Alec Bohm that would score Bryson Stott in the 1st inning. Stott made history last night becoming the first player in MLB history to reach base against Max Scherzer four times in one game.
Ranger Suarez would throw an absolute gem for the Phillies, going seven strong, allowing just three hits and one earned run while striking out four. The Phillies bullpen was fantastic, as Jose Alvarado, Seranthony Dominguez, and David Robertson combined for three shutout innings with just 27 total pitches.
The play of the night was made in the bottom of the 9th. Seranthony Dominguez got Daniel Vogelbach to pop up for the second out of the inning, and Starling Marte, the winning run, tried to test Matt Vierling’s arm in left field. Scott Franzke, take it away.
