Phillies Preview: Get a FREE $200 to bet on Kyle Gibson and the Fightins tonight against the Reds

The Philadelphia Phillies are back in action tonight in Cincinnati against the Reds.
Last night, the Fightins escaped with a 4-3 win thanks to both offensive and defensive heroics from Edmundo Sosa. Sosa, who was acquired from the St Louis Cardinals in exchange for JoJo Romero at the trade deadline had by far his best game in a Phillies uniform batting 2-4 with 3 RBI and a handful of web-gem level defensive plays in the infield.

On the season, the Phillies sit at 64-51 on the season and are 35-31 away from Citizens Bank Park. When the Phillies fired Joe Girardi, they were a miserable 22-29. In came Rob Thomson, and they are now 42-22 under new management, and in sole possession of the second Wild Card spot in the National League.Â
The Reds are not a very good baseball team. They started the year on a horrible 3-22 skid before getting their shit together, going 42-47 since to crawl out of the depths of the NL Central.

Kyle Gibson is on the mound tonight for the Philadelphia Phillies. Pretty interesting pattern for Gibson as of late. He is is 1-1 in his last two decisions, 2-2 over the past four, 3-3 in six and 4-4 through eight.
Since acquiring Gibson last season at the MLB Trade Deadline, he’s now 11-11 in Philadelphia.
Gibson has gotten a decision every time over his last five starts. Last time out, he lost to the Miami Marlins, meaning that if he stays with his current pattern, tonight should be a win.
Cincinnati will send right-hander TJ Zeuch to the mound. Zeuch is no good, sporting a 6.70 ERA in Triple-A and last time out, he got murdered by the Mets as the Reds lost 10-2 on August 10th. Over four innings, he allowed six hits, including a home run, and six earned runs while walking two batters.
Yikes.Â
Needless to say, the Phillies should be able to get their offense rolling tonight against Zeuch.Â
If they are able to pull out a win, it will be the 10,000 win for the Phillies organization. That’d be pretty cool. One could only hope it gets as much attention as they got when they lost their 10,000th game in July of 2007.
