FOCO releases limited edition Geaux Phillies bobblehead as Aaron Nola takes the mound tonight for the Fightins

The Philadelphia Phillies will look to sweep a four-game series with the Cincinnati Reds tonight at Citizens Bank Park. Aaron Nola will take the mound against Reds pitcher Justin Dunn.
Aaron Nola takes the hill for the Phils, coming off a tough outing against the New York Mets last Friday where he allowed five earned runs and eight hits in just five innings. Justin Dunn gets the ball for Cincinnati, who has thrown just three major league games this season, holding a 6.08 ERA and a 1.73 WHIP in just 13.1 innings.

Although Nola has been great this season, his career trends towards the end of August into September have been eye-opening. There’s no correct answer as to why Nola struggles in September, but the stats are obviously in favor of the early summer months.
Aaron Nola Career Pitching Stats
Aaron Nola | ERA | HR | Avg | WHIP |

Is it the cold weather? Pitching on short rest? Nerves?
The Phillies did bolster their rotation with Noah Syndergaard at the trade deadline, but the team is going to need Nola to step up in times that he hasn’t in the past if they want to find themselves in a Red October.
