Alex Cobb enters tonight’s game going 1-2 with a 2.83 and 1.23 WHIP over his last six starts. I know it’s a small sample size, but in 41 career plate appearances against Cobb, the Phillies are batting just .162 with a .378 SLG.

Gibson last pitched against the Pittsburgh Pirates, striking out nine batters. On August 16th, Gibson struck out 11 batters against the Cincinnati Reds. I like the over on strikeouts, if you want to run it up to 6+ at +285, I don’t hate that either. 

Alex Cobb eclipsed 5+ strikeouts in four of his last five starts. In three of those starts, Cobb hit 7+ strikeouts. Playing Cobb at 7+ strikeouts at +350 is enticing, while 6+ at +172 seems like a safe bet tonight against the Phillies.
