Series Preview: Phillies stay out west, kick off 3-game set tonight on AppleTV+

The Phillies kick off a 3-game set tonight with the San Francisco Giants on AppleTV+.

Kyle Gibson (9-5, 4.08 ERA) gets the ball for the Phillies, going up against Alex Cobb (4-6, 3.81 ERA) for San Fran.

The Phils start off the month of September on the west coast, taking on a 61-68 Giants team who has underperformed in 2022 after winning 106 games last season. The Phillies had a rough series against the Diamondbacks but did salvage the series, as Bailey Falter and the offense carried the team to an 18-2 win.

The Phillies added Vinny Nittoli and Donny Sands to their major league roster yesterday, rounding out to the mandatory 28 players for September and the postseason.
