Shocker: John Tortorella has concerns about Flyers locker room

John Tortorella appeared on SiriusXM’s NHL network radio yesterday and didn’t exactly have high praise when asked about his thoughts on the evolution of the locker room post moving a player like Claude Giroux.
John Tortorella: (skip to 25 seconds for comment about locker room)
Yeah of course, no one is saying this is breaking news but this is the EXACT thing that Flyers fans have been kicking and screaming about since around Thanksgiving last season. Hearing it come from the new head coach of the Flyers before the team has even touched the ice in training camp is definitely something that all Flyers fans can appreciate.
Tortorella was also asked about the Flyers new team captain and responded with a very swift…
“I am in no rush to name a captain..uh..so that’s that.”
We are now just 13 days away from the official start date of Flyers Training Camp on September 21st. That doesn’t leave John Tortorella and the rest of the coaching staff much time before the team finally hits the ice on the 22nd.
We will see some Flyers hockey on September 16th and 17th, when the Rookie Games begin against the New York Rangers.
