Roster Moves: Eagles call up two players from practice squad ahead of season opener

Much of the speculation heading into Week1 was who the Eagles would use as their return man.
Philadelphia may have ended that mystery on Saturday by elevating WR Britain Covey along with TE Noah Togiai ahead of the season opener in Detroit.

Good bet Covey returns punts and Quez Watkins works at kick returner.

No gimmicks or fine print. Just a free $200.
The Eagles’ special teams unit hasn’t been much of a factor since the Chip Kelly era; Britain Covey brings experience in that area. The undrafted rookie out of Utah had three return touchdowns last year and has averaged 15.0 yards/punt return over the last two seasons — second-best in the BCS.
Noah Togiai will join tight ends Dallas Goedert, Grant Calcaterra, and Jack Stoll on the active roster.
