NFL Week 1: Eagles release first inactive list of the season, my entry into the Parlay Palace
At long last, we get our first look at the revamped Eagles as they travel to Detroit to face Jared Goff and a motivated Lions squad.
In last year’s Week 8 matchup, the Eagles executed a rushing onslaught on Detroit, totaling 236 yards on the ground en route to a 44-6 beatdown. Nick Sirianni will likely have a different gameplan this time around, thanks to the new additions on offense.
Philadelphia is 100% healthy heading into Week 1 save for LT Andre Dillard, who was placed on IR following forearm surgery. The Lions aren’t as fortunate.
- Out: G Tommy Kraemer (back), DL Levi Onwuzurike (back)
- Doubtful: S Ifeatu Melifonwu (hamstring)
- Questionable: C Frank Ragnow (groin), OLB Julian Okwara (hamstring)
All eyes will be on Jalen Hurts as he suits up for just his 20th start — this time with heightened expectations. Here is the Eagles’ first inactive list heading into Sunday’s game:
