College Football Betting Preview is BACK this week and honestly, it looks like this weekend’s slate will get somewhat easier. I feel much more confident entering Saturday than I have over the last two weeks and have been on quite the heater after hitting bets all over the board last night during the Chiefs and Chargers game.
Before we get moving, make sure you’re loading up on all the free bets promotions. There’s over $350 in FREE MONEY, plus a bunch of risk-free and second chance bets for new users.

Bet MGM – Bet $10, Win $200 if either team scores a TD
First up is BetMGM. It’s an CFB promotion so place a $10 bet on any CFB game for tomorrow and you’ll get $200 FREE. I know they say if either team scores a TD but during the NBA season it was “Either Team Hits a 3-Pointer” and people got paid out instantly. At the very least, you’ll have some extra bank roll for the weekend slate.

Mississippi State at LSU (+2.5)
To say the very least, Brian Kelly’s tenure at LSU got off to a rough start on and off the field. After talking with a fake southern accent, they lost to Florida State at the Superdome to start the season. However, the Tigers did show signs of life last week dropping 37 points on Southern in the first quarter.
Yes, I know Southern is an FCS team. It’s still impressive and LSU did what they were expected to do.
Mississippi State will travel to Death Valley with a 2-0 record, earning wins against solid opponents in Memphis and Arizona. The home cooking in Death Valley is a real advantage and even with LSU not playing well to start the season, on paper, they hold the better roster against Mississippi.
LSU should get better as the season goes along and with the Death Valley advantage, it feels right to take the home dog in this one.
Pick: LSU +2.5

Wake Forest (-16.5) vs Liberty
Wake’s Sam Hartman is a stud. The junior quarterback lit up Vanderbilt in his return to the field for 300 yards and 4 touchdowns. Hartman completed nearly 67% of his passes and his star wideout A.T. Perry caught five receptions for 142 yards and a touchdown.
Is Wake Forest my favorite to win the ACC? They sure are.
Liberty has two wins against G5 schools that were both very close and honestly, exhausting. There’s no chance they will be able to keep up with the high-powered offense of Wake Forest.
With Hartman back, the Demon Deacons offense picks up from where it left off last season, and with Pittsburgh slightly regressing, they very well might have the best offense in the ACC.
Pick: Wake Forest -16.5

Washington State (-16.5) vs Colorado State
It’s another big spread but fading Colorado State might be a weekly special. The Rams have been putrid this season and have yet to defeat the spread so far this season, including the 16.5 number they were favored in against Middle Tennessee State and got blown out. They pass the ball fairly well but have already amassed six turnovers in the first two games and last week, were held to -10 yards rushing.
It also helps that Washington State is coming off of a stunning road upset of Wisconsin last week and is led by transfer QB Cameron Ward, who threw for over 4,600 yards last season at Incarnate Word. The Cougars struggled mightily at home against Idaho at times in their opener, but after the big win in Madison, it feels like they’re trending upward.
Pick: Washington State -16.5

California at Notre Dame (Under 41)
Pillow fight!
Nothing makes me happier than to watch Notre Dame lose football games. Cal isn’t much better, only scoring 20 points at home last week against a mid UNLV team.
The Fighting Irish only average 15.5 points per game this season and lost their starting QB Tyler Buchner for the remainder of the season in last week’s embarrassing loss to the Thundering Herd.
I doubt things look any better for each team this week.
Pick: Under 41

Penn State (-3) at Auburn
The CBS game of the week features a rematch of a classic game from last season, when Penn State narrowly escaped an upset bid from Auburn.
I doubt it will be close on Saturday night.
Penn State inched out an exciting victory over Purdue in Week 1 and blew out Ohio as expected last week. Auburn hasn’t played anyone, facing cupcake schools like Mercer and San Jose State over the first two weeks.
Penn State is the better team, even on the road.
Pick: Penn State -3
