E.J. Warner will start for the Owls against Rutgers in Temple’s homecoming game. Warner, the son of NFL Hall of Famer Kurt Warner ended a tied football game in the second quarter against Lafayette and passed for 173 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Owls to a win.
Still, Temple has looked anything but impressive this football season. They were absolutely dominated by Duke in a 30-0 defeat in Week 1 and the Owls needed two special teams touchdowns to win 30-14 over FCS team Lafayette last week.
