A protestor set himself on fire while attempting to make a statement against private jets at The Laver Cup, hours before Roger Federer’s final match.
A protestor has set himself on fire on a tennis court just before Roger Federer is due to play his last ever match at the 02 in a shocking incident.
The climate activist set his right arm alight in the middle of the court to protest the use of private jets in the UK.
The 20 year-old protestor, named Kai, is a member of the End UK Private Jets group, which claims that ‘carbon emissions in 2022 are genocide.’

Okay, I’m going to be brutally honest.
The most upsetting part of this video was the fact that authorities reprimanded the protestor and stopped him from lighting himself on fire. Everyone in attendance should have sat back, cracked open a fresh beer, and watched this dude burn to death.
What an asshole. Literally no one at a tennis match gives two shits about your climate change nonsense and I promise you, not one person who actually has a private jet cares either.
That’s the problem with these protests. They aren’t changing anything and are completely useless. Does anyone on the internet care about what this guy was protesting about? Nope. They just want to watch the video of him lighting himself on fire while muttering “what a loser” as they count down the seconds to 5PM on a Friday afternoon.
That goes for the animal protestors at NBA Playoff games and hot dog eating contests as well as literally anyone who brings that type of nonsense to a sporting event.
Again, NOBODY CARES.
