John Collins celebrated his birthday over the weekend and got a cute birthday cake from his teammates.
The birthday cake featured Collins getting an offensive foul on Joel Embiid while attempting to dunk a basketball in a playoff game from nearly two years ago. Weird right?

The ongoing feud between Collins and Embiid dates back years.
Almost four years ago now, Joel Embiid cracked some jokes about his buddy and former teammate Justin Anderson. Anderson was driving around Atlanta with John Collins when Embiid called him and jokingly told Anderson that he was joining a “rebuilding franchise”.
Here’s a quote from The Athletic article talking about the incident.
“You guys suck! You guys can’t even get on TNT, and you’re in Atlanta!” Embiid loudly screamed into the phone, as Anderson recalled with The Athletic at the time.”
From there, John Collins, being the huge baby that he is, continuously got DOMINATED by Joel Embiid anytime the Sixers and Hawks played against each other.

Embiid Dominates the Hawks (Again)
At the time, it was a career-high performance for Embiid, scoring 49 points and grabbing 14 rebounds.
Then of course, you have the playoffs where Embiid was fined $35,000 after getting into it with Collins and Trae Young. To note, no one else was fined for this altercation. Embiid was the only person to be reprimanded by the NBA because as we all know by now, the NBA Deep State is real and they unapologetically Hate The Process.

Collins then wore a t-shirt during media availability after the Hawks beat the 76ers in the second round of the playoffs featuring a picture of him dunking on Joel Embiid.
He was so dumb and failed to realize that even on his OWN SHIRT, he has Embiid in a chokehold, clearly indicating an offensive foul or else he would have NEVER even had a chance to put the ball through the hoop. It’s so blatantly obvious I’m not even sure what else to write about it.
I’m not posting a video of the dunk. It was a clear foul that was never called by the officials.

All of that brought us to earlier this summer, where Joel Embiid was seen liking tweets about John Collins getting absolutely destroyed during the Summer’s Drew League games.
So to bring us up to date: While Joel Embiid is out there living his best life this summer, debuting new wines with James Harden and attending a million different Michael Rubin parties while Collins and Trae are getting owned in the Drew League, the Hawks are still running the same exact joke out there about a dunk that was clearly a foul from nearly two years ago.
These two are not the same. They never will be. Embiid is god. Collins trash.
