Eagles schedule set to debut new black helmets THREE times in 2022

The Philadelphia Eagles will debut their new black helmets in Week 12 against the Green Bay Packers.
The Eagles are set to wear their black helmets in three games this season.
- Week 12 vs. Green Bay (SNF)
- Week 16 @ Cowboys (Christmas Eve)
- Week 18 vs. Giants (Regular Season Finale)
The Eagles teased the new shells back in July to go with their all-black uniforms, and it seems we’ll have to wait all the way til November to see them on the field.
Last year, the NFL announced that they will allow teams to wear two different helmets beginning in the 2022 season. They previously didn’t allow alternate helmets due to “safety reasons”, stating that players were safer being fitted for one helmet. The reasoning always seemed a bit odd, but now that has changed for the 2022 season.
The Bengals will be one of the first teams to introduce their new helmets in 2022, as they’ll wear their new all-white uniforms on Thursday night vs. the Dolphins.
Up Next for the Eagles
The Birds are off to a hot 3-0 start to the season and look to stay in the win column on Sunday at 1:00 as Doug Pederson makes his return to Philadelphia as head coach of the Jaguars.
