Eagles Notes: Another former teammate of Jalen Hurts joins team; injury updates on Slay, Maddox

Some Eagles news on this Victory Monday.
In the wake of the injury to LT Jordan Mailata, the Eagles have signed G/T Tyrese Robinson to the practice squad.
Robinson played with Jalen Hurts at Oklahoma and was the QB’s starting right guard in 2019. He played over 1500 snaps at RG and nearly 900 snaps at right tackle. With the uncertainty surrounding Mailata and Isaac Seamalo, the Eagles will look to Robinson for OL depth.
In other news, CBs Avonte Maddox and Darius Slay don’t appear to have sustained long-term injuries:
#Eagles CB Avonte Maddox, who suffered an ankle sprain last week, has this week's game up in the air, sources say. Could miss one, but not long-term. Meanwhile, CB Darius Slay did not suffer a major forearm injury, and he has a chance to play this week.

Maddox missed yesterday’s game after rolling an ankle in practice, while Slay exited the game early with a forearm injury. Slay returned to the sideline after halftime but never made it back into the game.
During his day-after video conference, Nick Sirianni provided optimistic tidbits on the myriad of injuries.
When asked about a bunch of injured guys — Jake Elliott, Jordan Mailata, Isaac Seumalo, Darius Slay and Avonte Maddox — Nick Sirianni says "everyone has a chance to play this weekend."

“We think that everybody has a chance to play this weekend,” Sirianni said. “I don’t want to come out and say that quite yet just in case some things happen. But we do believe everybody has a chance to play this weekend.”
