Cup Contenders: Philadelphia Union destroy Toronto FC, secure No. 1 seed in MLS Playoffs while breaking a ton of records along the way

You really couldn’t ask for a better long-weekend of Philadelphia sports. The Phillies swept St. Louis in the NL Wild Card round and the Eagles beat the Arizona Cardinals. However, they weren’t the only ones.
The Philadelphia Union, backed by a Daniel Gazdag hat trick, beat Toronto FC to win the MLS Eastern Conference and a first round bye in the upcoming playoffs.
With his performance, Gazdag and teammate Jack Elliott (shoutout WVU) both landed spots on the MLS final Team of the Week of the season. The Union are now the No. 1 seed in the East and will face the winner of New York Red Bulls and FC Cincinnati in the second round of the MLS Playoffs.
Philadelphia Union MLS Playoff Bracket
The Philadelphia Union have a legitimate shot at winning the MLS cup this season and have broken a ton of records along the way. Things are shaping up so nicely, that the Union and Phillies could really get us off to an early start on this All-Philadelphia Parlay.
Easy money.
