Phillies vs. Braves Game 2 of the NLDS has been delayed due to inclement weather

The Phillies and Braves will meet with the MLB at 4:00 to discuss the details of today’s Game 2, which is no longer starting at 4:35 EST, according to the Atlanta Braves.
The forecast in Atlanta, Georgia isn’t promising for the rest of the day, and neither side wants to start this game without playing all the way through. Zack Wheeler and Kyle Wright will get the ball today, and neither will be able to come back into the game if the rain delay is a certain amount of length due to sore arms and discomfort.
Right now, the most likely situation seems like a 6-6:30 start time once the rain passes.
The Phillies can’t afford a mid-game rain delay today after how much their bullpen got run through yesterday. Although Dominguez is available in Game 2 according to Thomson, the team still used the following arms in Game 1.
- Andrew Bellatti
- Connor Brogdon
- Brad Hand
- Seranthony Dominguez
- Jose Alvarado
- Zach Eflin
This isn’t the regular season anymore, so I’d have to believe that Alvarado would be available today once again after only throwing 11 pitches in Game 1. But Andrew Bellatti and Connor Brogdon would most likely not be available. Brad Hand would be able to pitch again for the Phillies out of the bullpen after just throwing nine pitches in 0.2 innings.
