Game 3 of the World Series postponed due to inclement weather

Game 3 of the World Series has been postponed due to inclement weather, Major League Baseball announced just moments ago.
Tonight’s weather in Philadelphia is not pretty, and it isn’t going to clear up all night. Both sides didn’t want to start the game if they knew they wouldn’t be able to finish it, which is the right thing to do.

Game 3 will now be played on Tuesday. Major League Baseball will not eliminate the travel day, and will just push everything back one day. Here’s how the rest of the series will go.
- Game 3: Tuesday
- Game 4: Wednesday
- Game 5: Thursday
- Travel Day: Friday
- Game 6: Saturday
- Game 7: Sunday
The Phillies now have the option to reset their starting rotation. Ranger Suarez could throw Game 3, Nola could go Game 4, and Wheeler could go Game 5, if that’s what the team wants to do. If not, they’ll stick with the original plan.
