WATCH: Phillies fan willing to lose family, job for World Series win

This Phillies playoff run has given us boat loads of great action both on and off the field. One of my favorite genres has been clips of local news affiliated interviewing fans. They interviews can range from impassioned to wacky to downright inspiring, but one man has risen above the rest this Postseason in terms of how badly he wants a World Series win (so far).
Phillies fan Dave Waddell is ready to risk it all:
“Whatever it takes. I’ll lose my family, I’ll lose my job. Whatever it takes for the Phillies to win.”
God, that fired me up. I personally don’t have a wife and kids, and I really need my job, so I can’t exactly repeat this sentiment and have it carry any actual weight.
However, Dave here threw caution to the wind and shared his thoughts on the local news. I’d say I hope his wife and employer don’t see this, but I don’t think he particularly cares. He’s ready to trade that wedding ring in for a World Series ring at a moment’s notice.

Is it a bit odd he’s from Nashville saying this? Maybe, but he’s in Philly now rocking the vintage “P” so I’ll shut the hell up and let this man’s reckless energy carry me into Game 3 tonight.
