Bankquake: Phillies fans were so loud Game 3 it registered on a seismograph

Phillies fans were loud all last night, and for good reason. The Fightins mashed 5 home runs in a 7-0 win over the Astros, with Bryce Harper setting the tone early and sending the Bank into an uproar.
Phillies fans were so loud they registered as seismic activity multiple times throughout the night:
Most notable, of course, was Bryce Harper’s two-run tank shot on the first pitch he saw from lance McCullers. It was a truly perfect moment in sports history, and the $330 million dollar man continued to deliver in the biggest moments of the postseason, and Phillies fans rose to the occasion to match that energy.
Harper’s blast caused the first-ever “Bankquake” every record, and Alec Bohm, Kyle Schwarber, Brandon Marsh, and Rhys Hoskins followed up with their own nuclear launches. Each one further cemented Citizens Bank Park as the most electric environment in all of baseball.
Do you have any idea how loud you have to be to register on a seismograph? Seahawks fans have done it before, but that was in an NFL stadium that holds 72k fans, so Phillies fans created more noise per person. I’m not a math guy, but I’m pretty sure that checks out.
Xfinity Live kept that same energy as well, and it was a sight to see.
Bryce and Bohm were first thought to be the only two to cause CBP to register on a seismograph. However, Schwarber hit his own bomb that added his name to “Bankquake” history.

It was a truly incredible night for Phillies fans in the Stadium District, but the party was so damn loud it spilled over into nearby neighbors. 45k fans scream-singing ‘Dancing on My Own’ after the blowout could be heard nearly a mile away from the Bank.
I unfortunately couldn’t hear the singing in my part of the neighborhood. However, that may have been because it was drowned out by my own screams.
Regardless of where you watched and how much seismic activity occurred there, this was another incredible night to be a Phillies fan. We are two wins from the World Series with a chance to win it all at home.
I can’t imagine the Bankquake that will follow if that comes to fruition.
