Preview: Flyers go up against their former captain in his new home; Flyers at Ottawa

The (5-3-2) Flyers, who are coming off three straight losses (CAR, NYR & TOR), head to Ottawa to take on their former captain and the (4-6-0) Senators.
You can catch the game at 7pm on NBCSP.
Carter Hart will get the start tonight. Hart is currently 5-0-2 on the season with a 2.10 GAA and a .943 sv%.
As previously stated in numerous articles, Hart’s insane .940 sv% is the only reason the Flyers don’t currently have a losing record.
His last start came against the Rangers, where he made 35 saves on 36 total shots. The lone goal (and game winner) came when Kreider found himself in alone with Hart in OT.
Watch out for Giroux & Tkachuk
Giroux is obviously a player you have to watch tonight and for obvious reasons. Yeah, he’s the former captain and without a doubt a top 5 player to ever play for the Flyers…but he’s also still very good at hockey.
G currently is 3rd on the Sens with 5G-4A-9P in 10 games.
The Flyers always get killed when former Flyers players play them so I don’t expect tonight to be any different.
Tkachuk is just a beast. He’s 1st on the Sens in points with 6G-9A-15P in 10 games and he’ll also punch you in your face with hesitation.
He’s exactly what a Flyers player would look like if you were to make one in a lab somewhere.
Morgan Frost is back in the lineup
Frost had 3 points in the first 3 games and his play since then has dipped. You could argue the deployments and line mates he’s been handed this year haven’t been ideal for the kind of player he is.
Tortorella said he wants to see Frost finish more, after Frost failed to score on 3 glorious chances in the preview two games (2 breakaways and 1 doorstep chance).
Frost is back on the wall tonight on PP2 with Farabee on the opposite side. Hopefully he’s put with players with skill so he can have the puck on his stick more often.
Line Combos are a question mark
We won’t know the 5v5 lines until warms ups so we can sit here and guess them.
Olivia Reiner of the inquirer tweeted that Rasmus Ristolainen & Kieffer Bellows were the two skaters getting extra time after morning skate.
With that information we can guess that Ristolainen and Bellows are out tonight.
Guessing the line combos:
Farabee – Hayes – Konecny
Cates – Laughton – Tippett
Laczynski – Frost – Allison
Deslauriers – Sedlak – MacEwen
I’d personally like to see Cates and Frost back with Tippett. They were a treat to watch the last 10-11 games last year and we haven’t really seen them together since.
Prediction
4-3 Flyers in OT. Konecny 2 points.
