The Eagles have made two roster moves ahead of their Week 10 Monday night matchup with the Washington Commanders.

Tuesday’s roster moves:

• Signed S Andre Chachere to the active roster
• Signed T Fred Johnson to the practice squad

After elevating Andre Chachere from the practice squad three separate times throughout the season, the team has officially signed him to the active roster. The second-year safety has been a standout on special teams since coming to Philadelphia last season. He’s totaled 50 special teams snaps this season and was second on the team in special teams tackles in 2021.

Given how poorly K’Von Wallace has played in the third safety role on Jonathan Gannon’s defense, it’ll be interesting to see if Chachere gets an opportunity for a rotational spot in the secondary.

Alongside signing Chachere to the active roster, the team also added fourth-year offensive tackle Fred Johnson to their practice squad.

The 25-year-old lineman spent the majority of this season in Tampa Bay, where he tallied just two offensive snaps for the Buccaneers before being waived on November 1. Johnson has appeared in 23 games and made eight starts throughout his four-year career.
