Joel Embiid: “Other Games Don’t Count, Our Season Started Tonight”after Sixers 100-88 win over the Phoenix Suns

It should come as no coincidence that the Philadelphia 76ers had their best win of the season last night against the Phoenix Suns on the same night that I actually watched them play basketball for the first time in the 2022-23 season.
The Sixers, led by Joel Embiid, beat the Western Conference-leading Suns 100-88. The Process returned after missing the previous three games with a non-COVID illness and posted 33 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists in the win.
After the game, Embiid spoke with the media and echoed exactly what I said when starting off this article above.
Joel Embiid: Our Season Started Tonight
“Our season started tonight. The Phillies are done, I enjoyed watching them so our season started tonight. The other games don’t count.”
Embiid wasn’t the only 76ers player that found his groove last night. BANG BANG Georges Niang made 7-of-10 shots from beyond the arc, scoring 21 points in the win. Tobias Harris also played his best game of the season, scoring 21 points and adding eight rebounds and six assists.
For the Suns, Devin Booker scored 28 points.
Up Next for the Sixers
The 76ers will be back in action on Thursday night in Atlanta against Trae Young and the Hawks. They’ll return home Saturday November 12th to face the Hawks again at the Center to kickoff a five game home stand.
