Yes, I know the headline is ridiculous but trust me, the video is absolutely worth it. It’s Saturday evening and I’m just killing time waiting to head down to the Philadelphia 76ers game tonight in South Philly and I stumbled across this video making it’s rounds on Twitter. Let’s check it out.
The Costco Card Power Move
This video is amazing. When I first clicked on the video, I literally had no idea what to expect. Typically when someone is caught on camera in the background of sporting event, they are doing something completely ridiculous and end up going viral online because of it.
Not this time.
If I had a million dollars, the last thing I would have bet was some kid dressed up as a referee on a Friday afternoon getting caught on camera with an attractive blonde hair girl showing her his Costco Card in the middle of a Detroit vs Boston College basketball game. Sometimes the most simple things turn out to be the best.
The “wow” from the girl as the kid handed her his Costco card was absolutely perfect. It seemed genuine, right? For the life of me, I can’t figure out if this was staged or what, but let’s just go with it being real.
I need to see the beginning of this video and how we even got to this point where the card was pulled.
Not to mention, the confidence this kid has to pull out a regular membership and not an executive member card might be the most impressive part of the entire video.
I’m not a Costco member but I will be now. The wholesale grocery giant should be tracking this kid down immediately and using this video in all of their marketing moving forward. The only thing I know about Costco is that for whatever reason, girls LOVE to put it on their Hinge profiles like it’s some cool, quirky thing that guys will be into.
Needless to say, it appears that is in fact, something that’s beyond cool and quirky that guys are into.
