Nick Sirianni gives injury update on Avonte Maddox ahead of MNF matchup vs. Washington

Eagles nickel CB Avonte Maddox has missed the last two practices with a hamstring injury and it looks as though he’ll be out for the upcoming game against Washington on Monday night.

Head coach Nick Sirianni spoke with the media before today’s practice session and stated that “it’s not looking like he’s gonna go.” CB Josiah Scott is expected to fill in for Maddox in the slot.

With Darius Slay and James Bradberry in charge of Commanders WRs Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson, Scott, who missed last week’s game in Houston with an ankle injury, will be responsible for keeping Curtis Samuel in check.

Scott started the first two games of his career earlier this season (JAX and AZ) when Maddox was dealing with a different injury.
