The goal itself was beautiful and started with one hell of a pass (header?) from Sergiño Dest that sent Pulisic dashing towards the net. Pulisic had to know he was going to take a beating but he finished regardless. This was the “American Moment” that we have waited for over the first two matches of the World Cup and it couldn’t have arrived at a more perfect time.
Pulisic was down for a while after the goal after getting kneed right in the nuts by the Iranian goalkeeper but there was absolutely no way he was coming out of this match. The USMNT should be up AT LEAST 0-3 right now and we have a full half of soccer left to be played so lets hope the USMNT continues to pile it on and we embarrass the shit out of Iran.
