Injury News: TE Dallas Goedert says he’ll be ready to go once he’s eligible to come off IR in Week 15

Eagles star tight end Dallas Goedert injured his shoulder during the team’s lone loss of the season two weeks ago. He was promptly placed on IR, forcing the TE to miss the following four games.
The Eagles pass catcher will be eligible to return to the lineup on Dec. 18, when the Eagles travel to Chicago to face the Bears. If it were up to Goedert, he would have never went on IR.
Following Wednesday’s practice session, the tight end was seen at his locker without a sling and told reporters that he feels great and hopes to be back on the field come Dec. 18.

Dallas Goedert is looking forward to getting back on the field ASAP
“I miss being out there,” he said. “Just counting down the days until they can take me off IR. I told Howie, ‘man, you should have never placed me on IR.'”
Goedert also noted that his shoulder was never dislocated, nor was there any damage to his labrum or rotator cuff.
“I got this special human power,” he joked. “I got cirrhosis, you guys know what that is? It makes me like ‘Deadpool.’ I can get stabbed and it heals right back up.”
While the Eagles passing offense has struggled a bit during Goedert’s absence, the offense has still found ways to move the ball, racking up an absurd 504 yards on the ground over the past two weeks. Not to mention, they’re 2-0 since Goedert has been sidelined.
Nevertheless, Goedert is an integral part of this Eagles offense. The tight end group has struggled to pick up the slack left behind by the TE1, totaling just two receptions for five yards as a position group since Week 11.
If all goes according to plan and Goedert’s analysis of his injury is accurate, we’ll see this budding star back on the field once Week 15 rolls around.
