Preview: James Harden expected to return as the 76ers look to salvage three-game road trip tonight in Houston

The Philadelphia 76ers look to salvage an underwhelming three-game road trip tonight against the Houston Rockets.
The good news, is that James Harden is set to return tonight after missing a month with a tendon straight in his right foot.
76ers Current Injury Report:
- James Harden: Questionable (right foot tendon strain).
- Georges Niang: Questionable(right foot soreness).
- Jaden Springer: Questionable (right quad strain).
- Tyrese Maxey: Out (left foot fracture)
The Sixers have managed to survive what will hopefully be their most brutal stretch of the season without James Harden, Tyrese Maxey, and at points, Joel Embiid. They went 8-6 over 14 games since Harden went out with an injury on November 2nd. Harden’s presence should provide a huge uplift to the Sixers’ offense, which has been worse in every major category during his absense.

The Houston Rockets will be looking to bounce back tonight after following up a win over the Suns with a loss to the Golden State Warriors last game.
Regardless, Houston is not a very good basketball team. They average just 110 points per game and managed to score just 101 points in their previous outing. The Rocket made just 44% of their shots and connected on a miserable 10.7% of three point attempts.
Kevin Porter Jr. is really their only threat offensively, scoring 20 points against the Warriors. Outside of Porter, Tara Eason finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds while Kenyon Martin Jr added 13 points and seven rebounds in the loss.
Defensively, the Rockets give up a lot of points, overing 116.9 pointers per game to their opponents. Against the Warriors, they allowed 120 points and if the 76ers can move the ball and rely on Harden, Embiid, and Harris to carry the workload, tonight’s game should be a cake walk before heading home to Philadelphia.
