Japanese superstar Masataka Yoshida will be posted on Wednesday to become MLB Free Agent

Masataka Yoshida will be posted on Wednesday, entering his name into the MLB Free Agency class for the 2023 season and beyond.
Masataka Yoshida a.k.a “Macho Man”
Masataka Yoshida will have 30 days to sign a contract with an MLB team and will most certainly have multiple teams that are interested in the Japanese star.
Yoshida has already been linked to the Phillies, due to his long-time love of Bryce Harper, along with wearing Harper’s 34 from Washington once in his career and even naming his dog Harper.
Masataka Yoshida is an absolute monster in the Japanese baseball league, coming off the first season of his career with an OPS over 1.000. He slashed .336/.449/.559 in 121 total games this year, with 140 hits, 21 HRs, 81 RBIs, and a 201 wRC+. Yoshida struck out just 42 times in 417 ABs, which is just a 10% K rate.
The Phillies are without Bryce Harper til possibly the All-Star break, so they’re going to need another outfielder or DH. Schwarber in left, Marsh in center, Yoshida in right, and Castellanos as the DH. Get it done, Dave.
