Trea Turner’s jersey number, introductory press conference details announced

Dave Dombrowski has put on a clinic the last three days, inking Trea Turner, Taijuan Walker, and Matt Strahm to a combined $387M.
Although Turner has not been officially announced by the team just yet, Matt Gelb has some details on Turner’s jersey number and introductory press conference.
Turner Will Wear #7, Be Introduced on Thursday
“On Thursday, the Phillies will introduce Turner with a No.7 jersey at Citizens Bank Park. They’ll have another event for (Taijuan) Walker soon after that. The lineup is set. The rotation is almost there – spring training will be an intriguing time for the organization’s young starters.”
Trea Turner will go back to #7 for the first time since his days in Washington, D.C, with the Nationals. Turner wore #6 in Los Angeles with the Dodgers, but the Phillies have held #6 ever since Ryan Howard retired, along with #11 and #26. Thursday’s Press Conference will be held at 4:00 PM EST.
