Report: Colts to start QB Nick Foles in Week 16 matchup vs. Chargers

Philadelphia’s lord and savior Nick Foles will be back in action in Week 16 when his Indianapolis Colts face the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday Night Football.
On Tuesday, head coach Jeff Saturday announced that Foles will get the nod this week after Matt Ryan and Co. blew a 33-point lead against the Minnesota Vikings on Saturday. Not only will he start this week, Foles is expected to remain the starter for the rest of the season in Indy.

It’s amazing that it took Indianapolis this long to finally put Foles under center. I guess allowing the biggest comeback in NFL history was the final nail in the coffin for Ryan, who will now go down as the biggest choke artist in the history of the game.
BDN hasn’t been able to muster the same magic since he left Philly back in 2018. Since leaving the Eagles, Foles has posted a 2-9 record while throwing 13 touchdowns to 10 interceptions.
Nevertheless, his resume speaks for itself. He’s a Super Bowl MVP, holds the fourth-highest passer rating for a single season in NFL history, and above all else, he’s never lost to Tom Brady. Nick Foles is still patiently waiting for his handshake, by the way.
If nothing else, Foles will make the Colts at least a little interesting for the remaining three games. I know I’ll be tuning in Monday night to see what he does.
