James Harden commented on report about Houston Rockets following Sixers’ win against New York Knicks

On Christmas morning before the Philadelphia 76ers opened up the NBA slate against the New York Knicks, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski released a report about James Harden seriously considering a return to the Houston Rockets in free agency after this season.
The report mirrored the same thing I wrote about last week regarding Tim MacMahon from ESPN ‘connecting the dots’ on Harden returning to Houston. After the win over the Knicks, Harden addressed reporters about the topic and said that he still remains committed to the city of Philadelphia.

“I’m here,” he stated. “We’re playing very well and I don’t know where that report came from, but I’m excited to be here and we’re playing very well. We’re continuing to get better.” via USA Today
Okay so regardless if the report from Woj was true or not, I think you were going to get the same exact answer from Harden regardless. Still, I really find it all to be pure speculation and almost too convenient that the headline of the day dropped from Woj, an ESPN employee, on Christmas morning right before an entire slate of NBA games were happening on their network.
Really makes you think the intentions behind the story now doesn’t it?
