Remain Calm: Doc Rivers guaranteed that the Philadelphia Eagles will make it to the Super Bowl

Well, this should go over just swimmingly. Doc Rivers spoke with the media over the weekend and ensured everyone that the Philadelphia Eagles would make it to the Super Bowl this season.
Doc Rivers on Eagles Super Bowl Chances
“Relax. They’re going to be in the Super Bowl. It’s a guarantee. It’s a guarantee.”
Honestly, there’s really one thing you never want to see or hear and that’s Doc Rivers telling people to relax. On top of that, when he’s telling people to relax about something that will happen in a playoff scenario.
For those who have been paying attention to the Sixers, and really, Doc Rivers’ career as a head coach, you’ll understand why that would be the case.
On top of that, Doc Rivers is the one coach that I truly believe doesn’t really give a shit about Philadelphia. He’s been around for too long and has coached in too many other cities to actually be considered “one of us” so maybe just leave the Eagles out of it.
At the same time, I actually agree with Rivers. The Eagles have lost two straight games which I know has everyone up in flames since it literally hasn’t happened all season, but if anything, it just goes to show you how good of a quarterback Jalen Hurts is and how badly this team misses him behind center.
The Eagles still have a shot to wrap up the No. 1 seed and a first round bye in the playoffs next weekend against the New York Giants. Regardless of what Jason Kelce might tell you, it does matter. You want the NFC Playoffs running through Lincoln Financial Field. Period.
With Hurts likely to return next Sunday, all of Eagles’ fans doubts should be erased and the Birds should have everything locked up and a week’s rest on the horizon before the journey to the Super Bowl begins.
