Walmart Fight: Bystanders subdue knife weilding man
Listen, this is why you should never shop in Walmarts to begin with. Too many wild cards, including the employees who stand by the door waiting to take you down for not having your receipt. You just never know what’s going to happen inside these stores.
I want to comment on the Dallas Cowboys fan I wrote about last year riding a horse around Walmart but last time I did that, I had people messaging me on LinkedIn saying how big of an asshole I was for not “doing my homework” on why he was riding his horse through the store to begin with.
To be clear: If you’re riding a horse through a Walmart decked out in Dallas Cowboys’ gear, then you’re an asshole regardless so nothing anyone says to me will change that.
Anyways, just another day, and another person losing their shit in a public setting. I really don’t think it’s been this worse before. There’s a ton of nonsense happening in airports on a daily basis and now it’s bled over to Walmarts. Just great.
There’s really two ways you can go about the situation above. Just leave and get as far away from the knife-wielding Michael Jackson impersonator as possible and go on with your day, or you grab one of those line holder posts (is there a real name for those?) and get involved by bashing the knife guy over the head with it.
Me? I would have just left. I can’t stand being in a regular Wawa let alone a Walmart with some crazy dude with a knife. However, some people, like the man in the video above, look at situations like these and chooses to be a hero.
If you watch the video, he played it perfectly too. The casual walk over to pick up the post and then was quick to act by bashing the dude in the back. From there, the people around jumped into action and made sure to secure the knife. Really solid teamwork all around.
Also, credit to the guy in the orange hoodie. I know he wanted to crack that dude while he was on the ground so badly and to stop yourself from doing that shows major constraint.
