Joel Embiid and James Harden make light work of the Detroit Pistons, Sixers win 147-116

Joel Embiid returned last night for the Philadelphia 76ers as they made light work of the lowly Detroit Pistons at The Well, winning 147-116

Embiid, rocking braids, dropped 36 points and 11 rebounds on the Pistons’ heads in just 23 minutes of action.

James Harden added his second-straight triple-double with 16 points, 12 rebounds, and 15 assists. 

Six players scored in double digits for the 76ers on the night, including a rare performance from Jaden Springer, who scored 10 points on 4-of-4 shooting in just nine minutes of action.

Up Next for the Sixers

With last night’s win, the Sixers jumped into the fourth spot in the Eastern Conference. They are 7-3 over their last ten games and just 3.5 games behind the East-leading Boston Celtics.

Embiid and company are back in action tomorrow night at The Well against the Oklahoma City Thunder. From there, they’ll head out West for a five-game road trip, starting Saturday in Utah.
