Shortly after the news of the Philadelphia Phillies avoiding arbitration with Rhys Hoskins, it was announced that they have also avoided arbitration with Ranger Suarez, settling on a $2.95 million contract for the 2023 season.

Ranger Suarez went 10-7 with a 3.65 ERA over 29 starts during the 2022 regular season. In the postseason, Suarez was phenomenal, going 2-0 in three starts with a 1.23 ERA. He appeared in five total playoff games (14.2) innings pitched while striking out 13 with a 1.02 WHIP.
