Preview: Flyers take on terrible Blackhawks at home, tanking agenda continues to crumble

The Chicago Blackhawks are in South Philly tonight to take on Carter Hart and the Philadelphia Flyers.
Not much of the lineup will change for Philadelphia, who will roll with the same combinations as last game.

Chicago is absolutely terrible, not that Philadelphia is a powerhouse, but there’s no doubt the Flyers are the better team and should probably win. Their goal differential sits at -59, while ours is at -18, and they sit at the bottom of the league standings.
Meanwhile, the Flyers have been trending upward as of late. Travis Konecny is still red-hot, scoring 48 points in 39 games. Morgan Frost scored what was most likely the goal of the year for Philadelphia last time out and looks to keep the confidence going.

Philadelphia has won 8 of their last ten games and sit at a .500 record of 19-19-7. The tank for Bedard agenda crumbles with each passing win, but at the end of the day, I can’t complain about young players performing.
They play with identity and life in their game, unlike years prior. It’s a nice change from the other cores that I’ve felt haven’t given it all at all times. The skill is undoubtedly lacking, although the upward trends of Frost, TK, Tippett, Farabee, York, and others help to fill some of what’s lacking.

That said, I expect a win against the Chicago Blackhawks. If you haven’t watched this team, they are atrocious and can barely score a goal, even with the great Patrick Kane. The Flyers have been giving me enjoyable games to watch lately, so I hope for another.
Prediction: 4-2 Flyers
