Playoff Preview: Philadelphia Eagles vs. New York Giants

After two long weeks, the Philadelphia Eagles (14-3) will take the field Saturday night to faceoff with the New York Giants (10-7-1) in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs.
New York is fresh off a Wildcard win over the Minnesota Vikings last weekend. With Daniel Jones leading the charge through the air and on the ground, the Giants managed to pull off the upset, defeating Kirk Cousins and Co. 31-24.
The last game the Eagles played was against the Giants in Week 18, but this matchup will look a lot different – for obvious reasons. New York sat the majority of their starters in Week 18, while the Eagles were forced to play theirs in order to secure home field advantage throughout the postseason.

- CB Adoree Jackson (back) – FP
- S Jordan Love (hamstring) – LP

The only player whose status is up in the air for Saturday is pass rusher Azeez Ojulari. The Giants outside linebacker has had an injury plagued year, only suiting up for seven games during the regular season. He suffered another setback against Minnesota last weekend. Though he has said he’s going to try and play, we won’t find out until kickoff.
Final Prediction
Was I little nervous earlier this week? Sure.
Am I even the slightest bit nervous after watching this clip?
No, no I am not.
Here’s the bottom line, the Eagles are the far superior team. They’ll be about as close to 100 percent healthy as you can get this time of year and they had an extra week to rest up and prepare.
Although Daniel Jones and the rest of his Giants are riding high off their upset last week, it’ll come to an end Saturday night. The Eagles defense won’t allow Jones and Co. to run whatever they want like the Vikings did.
As long as Hurts takes care of the football and the Eagles defense successfully limits the Giants ground attack (both are certainly plausible), then they’ll punch their ticket to the NFC Championship game.
Final Score: Eagles 27, Giants 19
