Class warfare! Are Eagles NFC Championship tickets too expensive?

The Philadelphia Eagles will host the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday in the NFC Championship Game. Like clockwork, a major sporting event is happening this weekend in the city of Philadelphia and fans are extremely upset with the ticket pricing.
According to John Clark, the 49ers-Eagles game on Sunday is currently the most expensive conference title game ever. The average purchase price is a whopping $1,102, good for 31% more expensive than last year’s NFC Championship game between the 49ers and the Los Angeles Rams.
Side Note: That probably makes sense with two California teams but let’s continue…
According to Tick Pick, the most expensive purchase so far has been 2 tickets for $4,178 each, totaling $8,356.00.
Eagles NFC Championship Tickets Most Expensive Ever
Well shit. The average ticket price is over one thousand dollars and with demand likely to increase over the week, it’s a safe bet that number will probably go up. Maybe you can snag a pair right before game time and bank on someone tailgating too hard and not being able to make it inside The Linc?
I’m not sure, but people are obviously upset about the cost of tickets and rightfully so. However, this shouldn’t be surprising at all. The same issue popped up when the Phillies went to the World Series last year, as people took to social media to complain about the “real fans” that were getting getting priced out of being able to attend the Fall Classic.
So, what can Eagles fans do in order to get tickets for Sunday?
Let’s start with getting $350 in free bets through FanDuel and DraftKings then using that money this week to make even more money so you can buy a ticket.

Not into gambling? Well, you can take a page from the Kansas City Chiefs’ super fan from earlier this year. Cheifsaholic was robbing banks all over the midwest in order to score the cash needed to watch his team play.
Or maybe sell a kidney?
At first, I was going to tell everyone that the average Eagles fan most likely has two perfectly good kidneys. Then, I saw the tailgate videos that Drew and company posted from last Saturday night, and I’m not sure I can safely say that is true anymore.
Regardless, for those of you who believe you spare one, a kidney can get you up to $262,000 on the black market based on my research. (I googled it and clicked on the first site I saw.) I would imagine you’d need at least some money set aside for your recovery time from the illegal organ harvesting surgery, but that should definitely secure you at least four tickets.
You could also go an easier route and sell plasma. I used to do that in college and get paid roughly $60-$80 every time. What makes it even better, the doctor will tell you to not go out and drink afterwards because you’ll get intoxicated quickly, like that was a reason to not go directly to the bar. I thought doctors were supposed to be smart?
Point being, sell your plasma, get some extra cash to put towards a ticket, and save money on alcohol.
In all seriousness, there are plenty of great bars in the city (Not Xfinity Live) to watch the Eagles this Sunday. Grab a group of your friends, go tailgate down at the stadium, then get out of dodge before game time and find a nice bar to post up and watch the game in the city. No need to stress on overpriced tickets. Super Bowl or bust.
