LeSean McCoy hilariously rips Eli Apple and the overly confident Cincinnati Bengals on the ‘I Am Athlete Podcast’

Well, I guess we can count Eagles legend LeSean McCoy among the many people that are rolling their eyes at the online antics of Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Eli Apple.
Eli Apple has been on a tear through the playoffs, but not on the football field. Instead, he’s been content on being a total menace Twitter. While I’m certainly no stranger to talking shit on social media, Apple, a professional football player who is still playing in the playoffs, takes shit to a new level. After the Bengals beat the Bills in the divisional round, Apple was all over everyone from Buffalo, trolling the shit out of them on Twitter.
Eli Apple trolling the Bills
This obviously raised a few eyebrows around the NFL. Among the chorus of current and former players wondering who the hell exactly Eli Apple thinks he is?
LeSean McCoy.
On a recent episode of the I Am Athlete podcast he spared no mercy ripping into him.

There’s a lot of great stuff in this clip but hands down the funniest part is when Shady starts going off about how Eli Apple is hardly good enough to pick his own jersey number. It had a ring of authenticity to it. You just know he’s seen guys low enough on the totem pole hear the phrase “You’re kind of tall, you’ll look good in 28” in person. It has the ring of truth to it.
Brilliant stuff all around from Shady McCoy here. We should expect no less of the man that went on national TV to declare that Dak Prescott was indeed, ass.
I’m sure the fact that LeSean McCoy is a former Bill played into his take down of Eli Apple. Watching his former team get trolled into oblivion probably fueled him on this rant.
The Bengals team overall has been overly cocky all week. While I do think they have a very good chance of going into Arrowhead and beating Mahomes and the Chiefs, it seems like a lot. At this point, if they lose, it would be extremely embarrassing.
When you have the Mayor of Cincinnati requesting paternity tests from Joe Burrow to see if he’s the father of Mahomes, you can’t afford to lose this football game.
If the Bengals win against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday at Arrowhead (or Burrowhead depending on who you ask) we can definitely look forward to another week of Eli Apple’s trolling, which should make for some good content leading up to the Super Bowl.
If they wind up facing the Eagles, at least we know we have one guy in the media that will stand up to him in LeSean McCoy.
