Per league sources, the Heat, Nuggets, Mavericks, Kings, 76ers and Celtics have recently called the Pistons and inquired about Noel.” – James Edwards of The Athletic
Noel, now a veteran in the league, really doesn’t get much playing time as a member of the Pistons, who are rebuilding and focusing on developing their young talent. He’s averaging 2.5 points and 2.8 rebounds per game over 13 minutes of action.
A reunion with Noel would be welcomed. He spent his first 2.5 seasons in Philadelphia and has a very strong relationship with Joel Embiid. Noel’s defensive abilities are certainly intriguing with a career average of 1.5 blocks per game. He’s also a viable lob threat for the second unit and more specifically, James Harden who could certainly use that skill set in the Sixers’ pick-and-roll offense.Â
