Joel Embiid broke an Allen Iverson record, made 76ers history against the Cavs

Joel Embiid has officially become the fastest 76er to reach 10k career points. He takes the crown from the one and only Allen Iverson, who is one of the greatest scorers of the basketball in NBA history and currently sits at seventh in the NBA’s all-time scoring ladder.
Joel Embiid reached the 10k mark in just 373 games:
He bested Iverson by just five games, but the feat proves just how special of a basketball player Embiid is. This is just one of many accolades amassed by The Process this season, including back-to-back Player of the Month awards and I have a feeling he is far from done.
Of course, we’ve seen him miss numerous games throughout his career, but he did this in what essentially amounts to 4.5 full seasons of basketball. Some may try and knock him for it, but I think it just makes it all the more impressive.
Joel Embiid is now the 8th active center to reach 10k point, but reached that milestone playing in 100 fewer games than anyone else on the list, per StatMuse. That’s genuinely insane and difficult to comprehend, so I get it if you don’t want to think about it too hard.
Of course, the Serbian roundball player and 2x MVP is included in this list. I’m not going to bother to try and make an argument anymore.
I’m just going going to tell him to:

Congrat, Joel. Here’s to the next 10k.
