Report: Eagles expected to request interview with Cardinals defensive coordinator

As Jonathan Gannon moves on to become Arizona’s new head coach, the Eagles are officially on the search for their next defensive coordinator.
While current DBs coach Dennard Wilson is a strong in-house candidate, an external suitor has potentially emerged as the Eagles plan to speak with Cardinals’ DC Vance Joseph:
Meanwhile, #Cardinals DC Vance Joseph not only has an interview request from the #Broncos for the same role (as @mikeklis reported), I’m told the #Eagles have interest in speaking with Joseph as well & are expected to request an interview, pending his meetings today, per source.

Joseph, 50, is currently under contract with Arizona but may be on the way out with Gannon, a defensive-minded coach, now leading the charge. The former head coach served as Miami’s DC in 2016 and has held the same position with the Cardinals over the last four years.
While in Arizona, Joseph’s defenses were average at best, as was the case during his stint in Miami. The Denver Broncos are also reportedly in Joseph for their defensive coordinator vacancy.
