As the 2022 regular season concludes, teams around the NFL are beginning to look toward the future.
In preparation for the offseason, the Eagles signed nine players to reserve/futures contracts on Wednesday:
- WR Tyrie Cleveland

- OT Fred Johnson
- OT Roderick Johnson
- G Sua Opeta
- DE Tarron Jackson
- DE Matt Leo
- LB Davion Taylor
- DB Mario Goodrich

NFL teams use futures contracts to claim rights to players they think will be able to contribute in the upcoming season. A futures deal ensures they’ll be in the fold once OTAs start and are typically minimum-salary deals with little or no signing bonus.
Most, if not all, of these nine players will be fighting for a roster spot in Eagles training camp this summer.
