Phillies acquire left-handed outfielder from the Tampa Bay Rays

The Phillies have acquired another left-handed hitting outfielder from the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for cash considerations; the team announced earlier today.
Phillies acquire OF Jordan Qsar from the Tampa Bay Rays
Qsar, 27, slashed .234/.345/.465 in Double-A last year with a .810 OPS with 13 HRs, 41 RBIs, and nine stolen bases. The strikeout numbers are a bit concerning, as Qsar was K’d 120 times in 273 ABs.He appeared in 102 total games last season in Tampa Bay’s minor leagues, spending time in Double and Triple-A.
Jordan Qsar played all around the outfield last season, spending most of his time in left field (50 games), while also appearing in center in 18 games and 28 games in right. The left-handed hitter has yet to make his Major League debut.
Dave Dombrowski said a few days ago that the team was in the market for a right-handed outfield bat, so this move comes as a bit of a surprise as Qsar is a left-handed hitter. Qsar has been assigned to minor league camp and will most likely spend his season in Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
