Flyers recall Ronnie Attard from Phantoms

Announced earlier today, the Flyers have reportedly called up D Ronnie Attard from the Phantoms.

Attard currently has 11G-19A-30P in 64 games with the Phantoms this year. He has 1G-2A in his last 5 games, as the Phantoms continue their push to the playoffs.

Attard was the 72nd overall pick in 2019 by the Flyers, playing 3 years in college for Western Michigan the following years.

When he eventually signed his ELC last March, he got to play a handful (15) of games with the Flyers. He put up 2G-2A, which wasn’t terrible for a kid who just turned pro.

Attard has spent this entire season with the Phantoms and was even named to his 1st AHL All-Star appearance.

We’ve seen players like Tyson Foerster and Elliot Desnoyers make their NHL debuts this year. And while this won’t be Attard’s NHL debut, the Phantoms don’t play again until Friday, so why not get him a few looks here?

The Flyers play tomorrow in St. Louis and Thursday in Dallas. He’ll at least be in for 2 NHL games and then sent back to Phantoms for their weekend games.
