Official Statement from the Philadelphia Phillies
Phillies Opening Day presented by Nemours Children’s Health versus the Cincinnati Reds has been postponed and rescheduled to Friday, April 7, at 3:05 p.m. All gates will open at 12:35 p.m. The 2022 National League Champions Pennant will be given away to all fans.
“After consultation with Major League Baseball and the uncertain forecast tomorrow between 3:00 and 7:00 p.m., we have elected to move our home opener with the Reds to Friday. With the open date, we have the ability to reschedule the game for our fans,” said Phillies Executive Vice President David Buck.
Tickets and parking (if applicable) for tomorrow’s game (April 6) will be valid for admission on April 7.
Pregame festivities will begin at approximately 2:15 p.m.
The Phillies dealt with some injuries today, so in the long run, this could help them. Brandon Marsh was a pregame scratch with a mid-ankle sprain, while Darick Hall sprained his thumb sliding into second base.
