Shocker: The Ringer releases All-NBA selections with Joel Embiid on the second team

In shocking news to absolutely nobody, The Ringer released their All-NBA Teams on Twitter today and Joel Embiid was NOT listed as a member of the first team.
Michael Pina’s All-NBA Teams for The Ringer
Look, I know how annoying this entire conversation is and the fact that I keep writing about it is a bad look but honestly, I just can’t help myself. The Ringer is a Boston-based media company that refuses to acknowledge Joel Embiid and give him any type of respect.
That’s a problem because of how big The Ringer is and the platform that they have, along with five MVP votes, to decide on things that mean something to other players outside of Boston and to the fans that root for them. It’s simply unacceptable.Â
Earlier today, I wrote about Ryen Russillo flat out lying about what happened on Tuesday night, when Joel Embiid dropped a 52-point masterclass on the Boston Celtics.
Trust me, I hate writing about Ryen Russillo and spelling his name correctly is annoying as hell.
What a horrible first name. Ryen? Seriously?
Quick Recap:
Ryen Russillo doesn’t think what Embiid did was special. He thinks that Embiid’s 52-point masterclass against the Celtics, where Embiid scored 52 points with 13 rebounds, six assists, and two blocks while shooting 20-for-25 from the floor to go along with a near-perfect 12-of-13 from the foul line was ONLY BECAUSE he went against Luke Kornet and Blake Griffin.
So let’s see what actually happened…
- Joel Embiid vs Grant: 21 points on 9-10 shooting
- Joel Embiid vs Horford: 10 points on 5-7 shooting
- Joel Embiid vs Smart and Griffin: 15 points on 7-8 shooting
- Joel Embiid vs Kornet: 6 points on 3-3 shooting
This is the shit we are dealing with when seeing the nonsense that The Ringer posts online. It’s ridiculous.
If it was Michael Pina’s goal to drive engagement and just piss off anyone who actually watches basketball, then he did a great job. Credit to him. The list is horrible and anyone who would consider putting Joel Embiid on the Second Team All-NBA is simply an agenda-driven rat.Â
They Hate The Process. The NBA Deep State is Real. The Ringer Stinks. Buy a shirt or hoodie.
