WATCH: Rudy Gobert throws a punch at teammate Kyle Anderson, Jaden McDaniels exits game after punching a wall as the Timberwolves fall apart the final game of the regular season

What in the world was going on with the Minnesota Timberwolves today?

In the midst of a heavily contested Western Conference where teams five through 10 are all fighting for playoff positioning, Sunday’s regular season finale games were actually important to determine final seeding.

In Minnesota, apparently no one told Rudy Gobert, who was sent home during the game after throwing a punch at his teammate Kyle Anderson.

Rudy Gobert threw a punch at his own teammate, Kyle Anderson, during the huddle on the bench. Gobert was then ruled out of the game, and the Timberwolves “sent him home” because of his actions.

Gobert, who has made a name for himself by shooting himself in the foot (example: COVID microphone incident) literally just said this about Kyle Anderson and his “aggressive, blunt leadership”

I've been working on a piece about Kyle Anderson's leadership and his blunt, honest way of talking to teammates. I asked Rudy Gobert about him yesterday. He's what Rudy said. pic.twitter.com/l0kDs94lR5

Yikes. I’m not sure this was the “positive way” that Gobert was talking about, right?

Needless to say, the entire Rudy Gobert experience in Minnesota has been nothing short of a disaster.

To make things even worse, Jaden McDaniels punched a wall so hard that he put himself out of the game with a right hand injury.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are 42-40 on the season and have clinched a play-in position for the playoffs this season, but when you have your team acting like this, that’s never a good sign of things to come as you get ready to make a run at the NBA Finals, even more so when this is Rudy Gobert, a player that you gave up the following package for to get him in Minnesota at the start of the 2022-23 season.

Minnesota Timberwolves Received:

• Rudy Gobert

Utah Jazz Received:

• Malik Beasley
• Patrick Beverly
• Leandro Bolmaro
• Walker Kessler
• Jarred Vanderbilt
• 2023 1st
• 2025 1st
• 2026 Pick Swap
• 2027 First
• 2029 First
